Happy First Day of Spring! (sort of...depending where you are) I pondered a bit about what write on my first post. I could start by ranting about the not-so-spring like weather today but I think we are all over that by now...so... Welcome to the Run Free Coaching Blog! I hope to give you a inside look of my coaching and training experiences as well as my everyday running and fitness life. I know I said I wouldn't rant about the weather... but since I woke up this morning at 530AM to get a 9 mile tempo run in before the day started, I can't help but feel a bit irritated by the sight snow. I mean seriously?!?! So much for the first day of Spring. I was hoping that ignoring the weatherman's reports yesterday would make the snow storm disappear. It didn't work. On a good note though, the Boston Marathon is 30 days away!! This will be my first Boston and words really can't describe how excited I am. To be honest it still doesn't feel like it's happening. It has been quite the road getting to this point. I have qualified for the Boston Marathon 3 times to be rejected twice. It can be difficult to pick yourself up and stay motivated after disappointment. I have learned that its best to think of "bad" workouts or races as good stepping stones towards your goals. So with 4 weeks until the marathon I decided to ignore the snow and embrace the run because ...OMG I'm running the Boston Marathon!
